Ford Model T was the number one selling vehicle in the U.S.1909 Ford Model T

The standard four-seater set you back $850…that’s about $21,000 in today’s dollars.

Gallon of gasoline was 12.5 cents.  Today, about $2.35.

The car topped out at 40-45 mph.  Today’s standard production cars top out in the 120 range.

Ford produced nearly 15 million of the Model T’s – the vehicle was so succesful that it commandeered 50% of the U.S. market by 1913.  These last figures are impressive regardless of the era…
